Prototype & Product CAD Design OnlineI do not pretend to design jet engines! But what I do offer, is good practical understanding. Knowledge of materials & mechanics. This is how I design all projects, I build & test every part & assemble them in the computer before any production process starts.
I have been involved in some very complicated & interesting projects costing many thousands of £'s. But the majority are small but clever, often taking only a couple of days or so. These smaller projects are often overlooked by large companies, but for me make up a large part of my business. Product DevelopmentProduct development is the evolution of the design. Where modifications can be made to improve intent or for aesthetics & manufacturing considerations. 3D models are made from a series of 2D sketches all linked together, so by going back to the sketches & making an alteration, the model will update. Variations of the same design can also be made. Company logos & graphics can be embossed onto your design.

The 3D model below is a simple caddy case for injection moulding. Models can also come with detailed drawings descriptive text & measurements.

3D Parts & dumb solids for machine assemblies
A 3D CAD model starts life as a series of basic 2D sketches front, top & side views. As the model evolves more sketches are added as required & the model is built up. The model & the sketches remain parametrically linked. Any alterations to the sketches & the model including any drawings derived from it are automatically updated.
The sketch is drawn on a plane in 3D space, in this case the right plane & revolved around its axis
